Our TeaM

Attorney Edward W. Gasser, PRINCIPAL

Attorney Gasser came from humble beginnings growing up in Bantam Connecticut. He is the first person in his family to graduate from college. He began college at a community college six years after high school, then transitioned to Western Connecticut State University, being graduated in 1984 magnum cum laude. He then worked full time at an Insurance Defense firm as a law clerk while attending Western New England College School of Law evenings, where he was graduated in 1988.

Ed then joined that firm as an associate and later became a partner. He that firm in 1998 and started the Gasser Law Firm where he has practiced since.

Attorney Gasser has tried more than 100 civil jury and bench trials to conclusion. He is the President of the Mashantucket Pequot Bar Association. He is also a member of the Connecticut Bar and the Litchfield County Bar associations.

Attorney Stephanie Javarauckas

Attorney Javarauckas has spent her career learning how she can make "the law" less foreboding and more accessible to others. In 2016, she graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University with a B.A. in Legal Studies. Immediately after college, and up until entering UCONN Law School, Stephanie worked at a large law firm as a medical malpractice specialist assisting lawyers and paralegals with research. While at UCONN Law, Stephanie was an active member of Moot Court, Mock Trial, the Public Interest Law Group, and the Student Animal Defense Fund. She also was an Articles Editor for the Connecticut Law Review. Stephanie Graduated cum laude from UCONN Law in 2020. Prior to joining Gasser Law, she interned at an Insurance Defense practice and has made Insurance Defense the focus of her practice.

Debra H. Slotnick, Paralegal/OFFICE MANAGER

Debra has worked in the legal community for over 30 years. Her paralegal experience includes personal injury, real estate, foreclosures, summary process (evictions), probate, and business organization. Deb joined the firm in 2001 and is the primary paralegal for Insurance defense. She is also the office manager leading a superior team of professionals.
